Happy Canada Day!
What a great day to begin writing this new blog. Rustico is a fantastic location to spend a day celebrating Canada Day. The street parade followed by the very special boat parade! Great fireworks set off by the local fire department. All in a wonderful small town atmosphere.....

8:00am - 9:30am - Sea Cadets Fund Raising Breakfast at the North Rustico Legion
9:30am - Interfaith Service at Centennial Park
10:30am - Street Parade begins at Gulf Shore School, follows Main Street and ends at North Star Arena. Parade Theme is "With Glowing Hearts We Support The Canada Games and Salute The Athletes Competing"
12:00 noon - Official Flag Raising at Centennial Park and the Singing of "O Canada"
12:45pm Dump Road Derby - Timber Lane
2:00pm - Bingo at the Fire Hall - open to all - 50/50 sales
2:00pm - Second annual "Hootenanny" Featuring a variety of local and visiting talent.
6:00pm - Boat Parade on Rustico Bay
6:45pm - Individual and Group Prize Draws to be announced from the Grandstand
7:00pm - Live Music on the Main Stage Featuring "Vintage". All remaining prizes to be drawn for and announced at this time.
Dusk - Fireworks over Beautiful Rustico Bay
